1. Information We Collect
1.1 Sign-in Information
When you sign in with Apple, we may receive:
- A unique Apple user identifier
- Your email address (if provided by Apple)
- Your Apple display name (first authorization only)
We never receive or store your Apple password.
1.2 Profile Information
- Nickname
- Bio
- Profile photo
- Age range
- City
1.3 Content You Create
This includes text, photos, videos, replies, and chat messages.
2. Public vs. Private Content
2.1 Public Moments
- Uploaded to Nox servers
- May appear in Discover
- May receive replies and interactions
- May generate share links
2.2 Private Moments
- Stored locally on your device by default
- Not uploaded to Nox servers
- Not visible to other users
Private content may be lost if the app is deleted, device data is cleared, or the device is replaced.
3. Chat, Safety & Moderation
Chat messages and interaction data are processed to support conversations, synchronization, abuse prevention, and moderation.
- Messages may be processed to detect spam, scams, harassment, illegal activity, or abusive behavior
- Users can report Moments, replies, chats, and accounts directly in the app
- Users can block other users to stop interactions immediately
- Blocking may remove related content from Discover, chats, and future interactions
- Reports may be reviewed by moderation systems or administrators
- We may remove content, limit visibility, restrict features, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users
4. Media Storage
Photos and videos may be stored in cloud object storage.
Media may be used for:
- Content display
- Sharing features
- Moderation and abuse prevention
- Safety review
5. Device Permissions
- Camera — capture photos and videos
- Microphone — record audio
- Photo Library — select media
- Location — attach a place to a Moment
Permissions can be disabled anytime in system settings.
6. Subscriptions & Payments
Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store.
Nox does not store:
- Bank card details
- Apple Pay credentials
- Full payment records
7. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from within the app settings.
- Your profile becomes inaccessible
- Public Moments may be removed
- Some data may be deleted or anonymized
Certain information may be retained temporarily for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or platform safety.
8. Third-Party Services
Nox may rely on third-party providers including Apple, cloud storage, and content delivery services.
9. Data Security
- HTTPS encryption
- Authentication systems
- Access controls
- Basic abuse prevention measures
No internet system can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. Minors
If required by your region, minors should use Nox only with permission from a parent or guardian.
11. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy over time. Important changes may be communicated through in-app notices.
